April on the run…
July 24, 2008I’ve been reading the early Archie TMNT issues and found some great panels to mock. Take this one of April running for example:
She really is booking it. First she throws a camera at Rocksteady (pre-mutation) then swings around and knee high- bolts from the scene with literally nothing behind her but her mullet. But she’s not done running yet…
Oh No! indeed April. Since you’re trapped in the late eighties- cell phones aren’t readily available to the average consumer. Which, come to think of it would make sense for April to have one- what with her being a news reporter and all. Furthermore, what’s with that jumpsuit with a bajillion little pockets? What do you keep in their anyway? Fruit snacks?
Still no phone, April’s managed to find four mutant turtles to run with…and according to the masked blue one, there may be a party later. April’s always up for a good boogie. Who isn’t?
All this running must tire you out April. Hey!- Did you ever get to that phone? What happened to those goons in that white alley? What time is that party? What–LOOKOUT!
Ooohh…..that had to hurt. I hope you have some bandages in those pockets. Yowza!
Well, looks like you’re okay then. Turns out you just needed a nice warm bath, then kick back in your America Online bathrobe, listen to some George Michael, and tend to a giant mutant rat sleeping in your bed. Whew! What a day!
